An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
